I haven’t given her a haircut yet because I can’t decide which of her many hair lengths to give her.
This has been the most involved doll I’ve done so far. Two toned hair, wings, skin repaint, body and face blushing, poseable tail, and a weapon. I even painted the felt her tail is made of to match her skin tone. It would have looked stupid and out of place otherwise. Painting felt is so not fun.
Her clothes are sewn on, so her outfit isn’t changing anytime soon.
I’m also back to using acrylic paint for my doll faces. The Mr Super Clear I have isn’t the right kind (apparently) and doesn’t give the right texture for watercolour pencils. Which is a bit annoying, but c’est la vie. It still seals the paint super great and my pastels are doing a fab job. I even blushed her wings although that might not be noticeable to anyone but me as the lighting in my living room isn’t the greatest.
I’m so pleased I was able to get her to hold that monstrosity of a staff. Monster High dolls have pretty weak arms.
